Bri's 1st hair cut

John's cousin April was down last weekend for a girls weekend and she brought her hair cutting things. After watching grandma and great grandma and one of John's other cousins get her hair cut Bri wanted in on the action!! So April being the kind and patient person she is hoped her up in the chair and trimmed up some of her long unruly hairs. She was so proud after and went prancing around showing off her lochs. Thanks again April!

Brianna

My little baby is growing up!
Some of Bri's cute vocabulary, nane (shane), onner (Connor), Da- ee (dad) Ma ma, Bee ( bri), baby (Brooke), a moo is a cow, wader (water), any bird is a boc boc. She absolutely loves birds!
she has a thing for shoes! She used to go grab a handful of them and bring them to me I finally figured out she was trying to tell me she wanted to go outside! She is a very cute little dancer and LOVES music! She has started to have her turn saying prayers and it is so cute she folders her arms and bows her head and looks at everyone else! She is our sweet little girl and we love her!

Elbow Canyon Family Home Evening

Well the geo cache wasn't a long enough hike for Shane he wanted to go up highers so I said Ok and that little mountain goat climbed clear to the top of the very step rough mountain!!

The other day for family home Evening John suggested going up to "the cherry farm" up in elbow canyon. I of coarse didn't bat an eye before starting to get the kids ready to go. Well we didn't make it up the canyon very far but it was soo much fun! We stopped and ate KFC in the back of the truck and happened to be near where a geo cache was hidden so the boys and I hiked up to it while John stayed back with the girls! (thanks John I really appreciated it!) Then John and the other kids practiced their stealth by sneaking up on Cows. he he he :) That is the only thing that crew could seek up on but it was really cute to watch! Another bee found Shane! I swear that kid can attract bees like nobodies business!! It didn't sting him, It just would not leave him alone and for those of you who don't know Shane has a Major phobia of bees. He was stung once and know they are all out to get him. And I will be darned if they aren't. For what ever reason they seem to seek him out. Anyway John finally killed it so Shane could relax.
We had so much fun just hanging out and enjoying being together! It was one of those memorable times you don't want to ever forget. Nothing fabulous happened but it was just fun!

Yes they are ALL asleep!!

Yep they are all asleep at the same time of coarse I am sure Brooke will be waking up shortly. I decided I would blog and clean!!!! And they have both been neglected so I have plenty to do. I did just want to journal for a min.
Last night we went for a family bike ride, which we do quite often when the weather is nice, and Connor decided he wanted to try riding his own bike this time. So he hoped on his little red bike with no breaks and bald tires and away we went. He was as Proud as could be he felt like the biggest kid in town. He kept saying things like. I'm tearing up the road!! I'm cruising!! It was so fun to watch him be so excited!! He has said so many funny things lately and I try to remember them but I guess I am going to have to start writing them down.
Oh but I do remember Shane's funny comment from the other day. We were outside and I was weeding and HE and Connor were playing and he turns to Connor and says something like, " All we ever do is play we need to do some work, not little stuff we need to do some man's Work." It was sooo funny!! I can't even remember know what they ended up doing!
Those two can be the best of friends or worst enemies! they will play and fight and fight and play. It is fun to see when they have been apart for a while they really do miss each other. It is fun to see their relationship grow! I hope they will always be close.

Family Home Evening with Grandma and Grandpa

Since we had so much fun going up to elbow by ourselves we thought we would invite my mom and dad to go with us.It was a blast! I think everyone had a great time. Bri loved pointing out all of the "moo's" She could spot them a mile a way. I don't think she missed one. The boys love riding the 4-wheeler and running around discovering everything when we got there. I hope mom didn't mind holding Brooke she had her the whole ride up and back! What a trooper! We got to the Cherry farm and had KFC and let the kids play for a while we couldn't stay long because we didn't want to to get dark on us. Hopefully we can go up again when we can stay longer!
