Christmas tree hunt

The search for the perfect Christmas tree turned out to be not so perfect! OK I always insist on cutting a live tree in the mountains. I just couldn't stand the thought of getting one from a lot or having an artificial tree. Ever since John and I were first married and actually even the year before we have always gone to the same location just above Summit, Utah to get our trees and then we would get some Chinese food in Cedar on the way home. Well since we have had kids this tradition has proven to be harder and harder to achieve. We haven't gotten Chinese sit down food since Connor was a baby. And I think this will be the last year we go up to Summit. We love the trees there but this year when we went to get our permits they would only allow you to cut Pinyin. That was the first let down, then after driving all that way none of the kids were in a very good mode! I wanted to get a cute picture of them for our Christmas card but after getting them in a good position Connor WOULD NOT look at the camera. The kids liked the snow and the older boys were having fun tromping around with dad. The girls on the other hand didn't co-operate as well. While Shane and John had gone down a very steep hill I was up on the road with Connor- who was sad that he didn't get to go. Brooke- who had a poopy diaper and was not happy, Bri-who was trying to climb on top of the truck, I took her down and was trying to help her walk while holding screaming Brooke in my hands, she didn't want my help and proceeded to face plant and skid down the hill. I think next year we will try getting one closer to home.

Grandma's 90th Birthday PARTY!!

John's Grandma White (Whom will always be MY Grandma!) Turned 90 YEARS OLD this year. All but one of her Grand kids came to celebrate! Here is just Geraldine's Family and Grandma. It was a wonderful day and so great to share this day with her! We all lover her dearly and I for one feel so lucky to have been able to get to know her! She is so wonderful with my kids and is always coming to my rescue!

I love this picture of Bri.

Digging for TREASURE!!! I hardly saw Shane the entire time Brigham was here! They had so much fun just being together and playing.

The Cousins had so much fun just playing together in the lot out back. It just goes to show it doesn't take much to entertain when you have friends around!

THank you Mom and DAD

My Mom has given all of my kids their first bath!

My Mom and Dad have bee over to help a ton since Brooke was born. I am so lucky to have family so close. What would we do without our Mothers! Even when we are grown and gone (or not so far gone) they still come to our rescue! I am so grateful to have my Mom and John's Mom so close to spoil us rotten! Oh and lets not forget my Dad! I can't believe how different he is lately. (OK dad you have embarrassed me my whole life so it's pay back time!) I don't remember him ever really helping out much around the house or being sentimental but now in his old age he has really changed! He came over the other day and brought dinner that HE made! He actually swept my kitchen floor! And wiped off the counters!!! My siblings will be the ones that truly appreciate this. He has made little Bri his little girl and she is all smiles and climbs right up on his lap and the boys come running for a fruit snack when ever they see him. So anyway DAD THANK YOU!!!

Spike

The other day when John was home after Brooke was born he was helping Shane get ready for school and Shane decided he wanted spiky hair. John has been so good to help out since Brooke was born. I gave him a bad enough time about not taking off enough time when Shane was born that he has done much better since. But really he has really been helping so much and I truly appreciate him. He has a ton of things to do and still he finds time to help!

We Love Dad

"OK you win!"

Bri Loves this, well they all do. They all love their dad! He is so good to wrestle with them. When he gets home from work they all run out to greet him screaming DAD! It is so wonderful to watch although at times I get a little envious!

Welcome to the Family Brooke

Our new baby sister!

Look at her cute toes!

Proud big Brothers

Oh Boy was Bri so excited about the new baby!

Well Brooke finallly made it here! It was a very fast delivery! Thank Heaven that Geraldine is just next door and that the Hospital is here in town! We didn't even make it in time for an epideral! Yep all natural she came and Mom survived to tell the tale! She was born at 4:16 a.m. and was the smallest of her siblings weighing in at 7lbs 12 oz. and 20"long. We are very excited to have her. We finally decided on a name before we left the hospital . It is offical her name is Brooke . I had a good friend and roommate in college named Brooke and it reminds me of fishing for little brookies in the streams! which is one of john and I's favorite past times. We hope Brooke will like it too!
