Big Brother

Another spike day
Shane comes in after playing with Brianna in the back yard and Proudly Proclaims, " I taught Bri how to throw rocks!"
A little while later he comes in and says," I taught Bri how to say NO!"
He was so proud on both accounts I didn't have the nerve to tell him maybe thoughs were not the best things to be teaching her.
He is so funny lately he came in the other morning early and says, "I need an alarm clock," I asked him why and he says, "So I can get up before Dad leaves." He loves his dad! well they all do and all I can say is who wouldn't! ( Although I have to admit I get kinda jealous at times)

A friend gave me a board with this saying on it and I loved it and wanted to get pictures of me holding my kids hands while they still will.

The Garden

Well we got our garden in last week end. I know it is kid of early but we got some of those water wells to put around the plants until we don't have to worry about frost anymore. The kids always have fun playing in the dirt. Bri was literally swimming in it. By the time I got the camera though she had stood up. I was so grateful for John's help this year. usually the garden is MY baby but John helped me get the dirt ready.

We are going to try our hand at cucumbers again this year we haven't had too much success in the past. We have 2 different types of tomatoes early girls and heat waves. We haven't ever tried the heatwaves before . We are also doing crook neck squash and turnips. The turnips are the only thing we are doing by seed. We also haven't done the onions yet. Grandma White likes to be in charge of those and we want it to warm up a little bit more first. So I'll keep you posted as to how we do this year.

Garbage Digger

Why is it that the garbage isn't garbage until the garbage man takes it away? I am always having to hide the things that should be in the garbage underneath dirty diapers or somehow that broken toy everyone has been stepping on is their favorite toy and should NOT go into the trash! John apparently has not had as much practice knowing what can be put on the top of the trash! He had thrown this very old ice cream away and I turn around to see Connor with a shovel spoon (that is what we call the big soup spoons) helping him self!

Brooke

Brooke is getting so big she is 3 months old and is trying to roll over. She is very alert and will almost always smile when you smile at her!

SHANE

Shane is really growing up! He is liking school a lot more, he still can't wait for the weekends though! He loves to play anything ARMY. He loves to play out side. He is starting to read site words and sound out other words. He really is a smart kid. At school he is doing great at math too. He is very observant and remembers everything! He loves his dad and loves to just have free time to play!

Bri

She loves to spend time in the shop with her dad!

My cute little girl is getting so grown up. She is really starting to talk a lot more. She can say Daddy, mommy, deer, hot dog, down and, ya. She tries to say a lot more. She loves to be out side and does not want to be left out of anything! Even without words she knows how to tell on her brothers! She loves!!!!!!!! her sister Brooke and has to give her a hundred kisses a day. She absolutely Loves birds and other animals, but birds are defiantly her favorite. She gets sooooo excited when she sees them outside or in a book it doesn't matter she loves birds. She is such a smiley little girl and she is so much fun.

Smart Cookie

OH my funny little Connor! He falls asleep in the funniest places! He just gets so tired and passes out where ever! He is my little snuggler! He loves to take pictures of everything. But he likes my camera more than his. He loves Kung Fu Panda, wrestling with John and saying funny things!

Have at it Boy!

I tried to post this way back in April when it was taken but couldn't get it to work. Just to pre-face this is in one of the old apartments when we were getting ready to tear them down. The destructive part of the boys came out especially John! I do have to say there is some satisfaction in breaking things when you know you aren't going to get into trouble.

Tree Fort

The other day John was taking a break from his taxidermy out in the shop because I needed him to hold Brooke for me and he decide that this tree was meant to have a tree house in it! He promptly handed Brooke back to me and A week later TA- DA!! The Tree Fort (that's what Shane decided it should be) was born. OK I don't know if john would say it was "born" after many trips to the hardware store and an lot lot lot of sawing and thinking and re-thinking and more trips to the store and a lot of hard work by my wonderful husband who loves his kids a ton thew tree house was built!

I think John likes it as much as the boys do!

Brooke's Blessing Day

Last week (Feb. 1st) we blessed Brooke. My friend Stephanie Vogel MADE her dress!!! I wish the picture showed the details more! IT is a beautiful dress that truly looks professional! She had embroidered leaf vines on it and the lace work was gorgeous! It had delicate little sleeves that came down to a point! When she asked me if I wanted her to make a dress for Brooke I could have never imagined it would be so beautiful! Any way She is a very talented and giving person. Thanks again Steph! Also my friend Angela made her the hair bow and a cute little bracelet you can't see. And Grandma White crocheted her blanket! I am so lucky to have such good friends and family that support me and my family. Grandma White, Geraldine, My mom and Dad, Gwen and Cody, Greg and Lorissa, and Chris and Marta were there to share this special day with us. And it was a good thing to because I ended up having Gwen teach one of our primary Classes, and Chris and Marat took Bri home to have a nap! Oh what a wonderful family I have!

John did the blessing in Spanish so I asked him afterward what her blessing said. He said, " she was blessed with health and strength, she was blessed to be an example to her brothers and sister and her parents, that she would have peace of mind, she would find someone worthy to go to the house of the Lord with and, that her Heavenly Father would be proud of her. It was a beautiful blessing and even though it was in Spanish I felt the spirit very strong. With each of my kids when they are born and as they get bigger I look at them and know that they have come to us from a very special place and that they are truly a little miracle! I am so happy to have her as part of our family. I feel so blessed to have such wonderful happy, healthy kids!

Fun with Cousins

The kids had so much fun and did not want to separate even at bed time. they all took turns having sleep overs at our house and grandma's house.

This picture cracks me up! Lillian brought her kids down during the last long weekend. We had a ton of fun! One of the nights we went for a hot dog roast apparently we aren't the only one's that like this spot.

The Exterminators

John found this spider on Brianna's bedroom door and was showing the boys.
Connor was brave enough to go point at it!

Apparently John put it on the floor and let the boys loose with there light sabers! The poor spider didn't stand a chance!
